Best Wedding Photography 2018
69,723 Photos taken, 5,320 Miles travelled, too many beautiful moments to count and 1 tiny human (my little boy Finley) successfully welcomed into this world! 2018 you were spectacular in every way.
Every year the anticipation builds as the end of wedding season (if that is even a thing anymore) approaches. With the lights turned low and my Spotify “Discover Weekly” playlist on repeat I get an opportunity to sit back and admire all the hard work and wonderful moments that I’ve been so, SO lucky to document for my couples. It’s such a hard task picking my personal favourites from all the weddings I’ve been a part of. The process of getting down to 100 images would be impossible if my lovely Rebecca weren’t there to help me. So thanks for being an absolute legend!
2018 was my busiest year yet as a wedding photographer. On top of this, it was also my busiest year in life! With the arrival of my little boy in June, I had so many moments of fear as I was surrounded by wedding bookings and didn’t want to let any of my couples down. But because of the support I have from some fantastic photographer friends (namely Roo Stain on this occasion) I was able to attend every wedding I intended on shooting this year and was super confident that no one would have been left without a photographer in place if Finley made an early arrival.
This year I travelled down as far as Guilford in Surrey to the amazing Ramster Hall and out as far as Son Mir in sunny Majorca and still managed to hang out with my little family, and stay sane. Although that last one about staying sane might be a bit questionable? What with all the lack of sleep! 🙂 But I got through it and enjoyed every moment.
With one of my biggest inspirations coming from Street Photography, I’m really pleased to have one of my projects Street Photography in Berlin published in FujiLove magazine alongside some awesome photographers like Kevin Mullins. And also a personal piece very close to my heart called “Stay Focused” published online with FujiLove.
2019 has so much in store with me joining forces with my brother Hax under a new brand Ivy Leaf to offer photography and wedding films all in one place which is so exciting. If you want some more information about this, please get in touch.
My last thanks, goes out to all of the amazing couples that have trusted me to document their wedding day and all the kind words and support they gave me this year as I juggled wedding photography and being a new dad. Your patience and understanding meant so much to my family and I. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
