Feri & Chris' Wedding at Gaynes Park Wedding in Essex
What an absolute blast to be part of Chris and Feri’s amazing day at Gaynes Park. Check out their wedding trailer along with some of our favourite photos from the day.
Gaynes Park, Essex
Gaynes Park in Essex is an exclusive use wedding venue near Epping, and Feri and Chris’ wedding was the first we were lucky enough to shoot there. This contemporary barn wedding venue and buildings lie in well-manicured gardens and grounds with a traditional rural setting. It was easy to see why they chose this spectacular wedding venue for their special day.
Guys!!! We have no words to describe how amazing these are!!! Thank you so much!!!Chris & FeriKind Words
Gaynes Park – The Venue
Lovingly restored, Gaynes Park with its historic timber-framed barns, buildings, and stunning grounds gives couples like Feri and Chris an exquisite Essex wedding venue in which to celebrate. Located 2 miles from Epping center, and with a fantastic view of London’s skyline, it is a popular wedding venue seating up to 150 day-time guests or 200 in an evening.
Accommodation at Gaynes Park
Gaynes Park has some limited on-site accommodation available. It consists of The Apple Loft, which is a quaint little cottage near the entrance to the venue.
The Apple Loft
Feri chose this delightful little cottage near the entrance of the venue to get ready in on the morning of the wedding. Feri and her loved ones had fun relaxing in the charming surroundings The Apple Loft provides, which is surprisingly spacious.
The Coach House
The Coach House provides accommodation for ten people along with communal living space, which was the choice for Chris and his Groomsmen to prepare for the day.
Ceremony Options at Gaynes Park
There’s a host of ceremony options to choose from at Gaynes Park. Weddings can take place in one of three locations, each with its particular charm: The Orangery, Gather Barn or Mill Barn.
Located in the Walled Garden Feri & Chris opted for the beautiful Orangery for their ceremony. The Orangery is a contemporary light and airy building with exposed oak beams and is surrounded by windows that maximise natural light and views to the gardens. Capacity for up to 150 guests, the room is a flexible space that can be set up in different ways, giving you plenty of choices when it comes to your ceremony.
The Gather Barn is open-sided beamed and has a brick and flagstone floor, and is perfect for outside ceremonies or as Feri & Chris opted for, a beautiful relaxing shaded seating area for guests to mingle.
Mill Barn is an impressive old brick and beamed wedding barn and spacious setting, which Feri & Chris opted to use for their wedding reception. Situated beside the Gather Barn, it features four massive tree trunk pillars, floor to ceiling windows and a wooden oak floor throughout. This space once again can seat up to 150 people and is spectacular.
Feri and Chris had a traditional Turkish Drum & Violin entrance (Davul and Zurna entrance) but opted for a contemporary feel for the rest of their reception. The highlight being their choreographed first dance. I wouldn’t have expected anything else given how they first met.
