Now and again I get approached by a couple who want something a little bit different for their wedding day and this wedding at Islington Town Hall was exactly that, and brilliant in so many ways.
When I met with Shayan and Laura I was really excited with what they had planned for their wedding day; the ceremony would take place at Islington Town Hall, which to me is one of the nicest locations for a city ceremony in London. Following this their guests would be transported to the very trendy Victoria Stakes Pub in Muswell Hill, via a big red bus to celebrate the rest of the day in the Victoria Stakes “Yard”. The Courtyard is just an amazing space with so much personality and loads of quirky details that really sets it apart from many other venues out there. Luckily for the bride and groom the weather was really good, exactly as it should be for a weekend in July and although I was melting from the heat, it lit up the Yard space beautifully with a golden light that looked superb.
Shayan and Laura successfully managed to plan a fantastic wedding day that was intimate, fun and something really really memorable. They took the approach of making their wedding day something a little different and I think they managed it brilliantly.
