Documentary Style Pre Wedding Shoot
In Epping Forest with the Fuji XT2 capturing a documentary Style Pre Wedding Shoot.
Pre Wedding shoots are one of my favourite parts of being a wedding photographer. At least an hour of uninterrupted time to photograph a lovely couple out in a cool location; Well there’s not much more I could ask for on the fun scale to be honest. It’s a really good opportunity to get to know the couple a little more before the big day, making them feel even more relaxed on the wedding day.
For Selim and Gulen’s pre wedding shoot, we headed over to one of my favourite locations for a little roam around. With over 6,000 acres of woodland in Epping Forest, it’s hard not to find a serene corner to ourselves. We were lucky to have a bit of directional light on the day which is always nice to work with when shooting portraits with the Fuji XT2, which was the camera of choice for this session. I’ve been shooting with this camera a lot since starting to expand my street photography projects last year and it continues to impress me with how small and versatile it is. It captures light beautifully and having the EVF just makes shooting a little easier in varying light conditions. So I think it’s a near perfect camera for photographing a wedding day in my documentary style.
Selim and Gulen’s wedding at Hylands House in Essex is only just around the corner and I can’t wait to document their special day, it’s going to be a blast.
